TAUREON has become a well-known and trusted company in the field of advanced wound care and surgical specialties. You may be familiar with us because of our products such as HoneySoft®, SurfaSoft® and Novacol®. All these products have been developed by or for TAUREON and TAUREON is authorised to market them worldwide. However, TAUREON is also the holder of a vast portfolio of Tutoplast Biomaterials in the Netherlands, including the glycerine hydrogel Elasto-Gel™, the unique PVA foam Coldex® and the protective Omiderm™ dressing and other quality products for which TAUREON owns the exclusive marketing rights for the Netherlands.
TAUREON’s objective in cooperation with you as healthcare professional is to achieve the best results for the patient. You will often come across the tagline, “Sharing value in advanced wound care and surgical specialties”, in advertising by TAUREON. In other words, TAUREON not only strives for added value for the shareholder, but also for the company, the healthcare sector and the patient. All this in the field of advanced wound care and surgical specialities. At TAUREON we recognise that our long-term success can only be assured if all interested parties can profit from it.
In practice, this means that we do not see ourselves as a trading company. Our strength is not merely in the ‘moving of packages’. We strive to be a marketing entity that offers added value in the form of service, knowledge and other types of support. We therefore cannot offer a total range of dressing packages. We knowingly limit ourselves to marketing only the most advanced products. And we do not go for the ‘lowest price’ as we are aware that extra quality always costs more money. In short, we strive to distinguish ourselves by promoting a better and healthier future.
We will discuss below in greater detail those areas in which TAUREON distinguishes itself.
TAUREON and quality
In existing and in new products, we put quality first. The fact that TAUREON is ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified shows this, too.
All TAUREON products carry the CE mark. SurfaSoft® is classified as class II A; HoneySoft® is one of the few honey dressings classified under class II B, and with Novacol® we are even dealing with a class III product.
All products have a strictly controlled origin. We make no secret, for instance, of the origin of our medicinal honey. For us, quality control starts at the source and it must be verifiable by all concerned. TAUREON has clear and transparent agreements with all producers, suppliers and other service providers. TAUREON very regularly carries out an extensive set of examinations and tests to guarantee absolute safety for the consumer and the patient. We even do more than we are required to do by law. We only release the products to medical practitioners, caregivers and patients if test results are excellent.
TAUREON hereby consciously opts for only operating in the highest quality segment of the market.
TAUREON and its product portfolio
TAUREON has elected to offer innovative products with product characteristics that clearly set themselves apart from other marketed products. As a result, we do not offer a full range of dressing materials for all types of wounds, simply because doing so would compel us to involve ourselves in ‘me-too’ products. Our expertise and strength: being distinctive.
TAUREON and its employees
We at TAUREON work with a team of dedicated and qualified employees.
New employees must complete an extensive training programme before being allowed to come into contact with the consumers of our products. The training includes not only learning from theoretical material, but also training by doctors and other health care disciplines.
The team behind TAUREON products aims to provide good service that complements our excellent products. Should this require a special effort, then we will obviously make that effort. That simply forms part of our company’s commitment to quality.
TAUREON and its partners
It is not easy to become a producer or logistic service provider for TAUREON. Nor does one easily become a distributor of TAUREON’s brand products in any country. This only happens once we are absolutely convinced that the partner observes the same quality standards that we observe at TAUREON.
This guarantee can be found to some extent in certificates and marks of quality. However, a positive feeling about the partner we are dealing with is even more important.
TAUREON and its norms
As member of Nefemed, TAUREON endorses the Nefemed code of conduct regarding the way in which it conducts its business. Consistent with this code of conduct, we treat our customers, colleagues, suppliers and everyone involved with our products with care and in a socially acceptable manner. Our ultimate objective is for all this to be to the benefit of our products, and thus (in the end) to the benefit of the patient.
